CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli has welcomed co-operation with a French group to manage and operate a number of airports.
The government is seeking bigger private sector involvement in the management and operation of airports, Madbouli said during a meeting to review a proposal submitted by an Egyptian-French consortium comprising Hassan Allam Group and Aeroports de Paris (ADP).
The premier hoped that ADP would be among firms competing for offers by his government to manage Egyptian airports in the coming stage.
Civil Aviation Minister Sameh el-Hefny attended the meeting. Hefny praised the important role played by ADP in running many airports worldwide, adding that his Ministry is open to all forms of partnership with the French company.
