Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the government is keen on following up all preparations for the UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (UNFCCC) COP 27, to be held in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh in November, to render the event a success.
Madbouli presided over a meeting Thursday, of the higher committee in charge of COP27 preparations, to review ongoing measures for the global conference, including work to upgrade the infrastructure in Sharm el-Sheikh and planned programs to receive delegations and guests.
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri, Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Anani and Minister of Youth & Sports Ashraf Sobhi took part in the meeting, among other ministers and senior government officials.
The ministers expounded their ministries’ efforts, as well as ongoing coordination in preparation for hosting the gathering.
