Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly expressed his appreciation for the significant efforts behind the establishment and operation of national projects led by the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development agency, which contribute to strengthening the country’s resources and development.

During his Monday tour of the agency’s project sites in the New Delta area along the “Tahya Misr” axis, he was accompanied by several senior officials, including the ministers of industry, irrigation, electricity, supply, agriculture and investment, and representatives from the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, the agency’s executive director, and others from various ministries and partner companies.

The premier inspected the agency’s agricultural project site, where advanced agricultural machinery are being used in the wheat harvest. He received a briefing on modern precision farming techniques, including the planting and harvesting process. He also reviewed methods of transportation and storage, noting that the agency helps reduce the import bill by replacing imports with locally grown strategic crops like wheat.

He then visited the infrastructure works for water transportation in the New Delta, including pumping stations, electrical substations, and buildings related to irrigation services. Consultants explained how these systems operate and supply water for agricultural use.

The tour continued at the New Delta’s wholesale logistics market and industrial zone. Madbouly visited projects such as grain silos, which are part of the agency’s efforts to boost year-round storage capacity. These include cold and freezing facilities with a capacity of 90,000 tons and grain silos that can hold up to 500,000 tons.

He also inspected a potato processing factory and received a detailed explanation of its operations. During a walkthrough, he visited a feed plant and cold storage units, learning about sorting, packaging lines, and storage methods. He also toured the cooling chambers.

At the end of his visit, Madbouly met with staff from the Future of Egypt agency, along with the executive director and the project advisory team.
