CAIRO – Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli greeted Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese on the occasion of the Coptic Christmas.

This came during Madbouli’s visit to the Coptic Cathedral premises Thursday.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli greeted Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese on the occasion of the Coptic Christmas.

During the visit, Madbouli voiced his sincerest wishes to the pope on this occasion, wishing Christians at home and abroad a merry Christmas.

Tawadros II, on his part, asserted his appreciation for the premier on visiting the Cathedral premises to offer his greetings after a long day in Sohag where he accompanied President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in inaugurating a number of industrial projects.

He also voiced hope that Egypt could overcome all current challenges with peace and expressed upbeat over the State’s ability to overcome all the hardships.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli greeted Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese on the occasion of the Coptic Christmas.

The pope also asserted that the president’s visit to Sohag reflected the State’s interest in Upper Egypt.

The premier, on his part, asserted that Egypt was capable of overcoming all economic challenges facing the whole world and not Egypt alone, reiterating the State’s resolve to continue its building and development march.

Madbouli also said Upper Egypt is currently witnessing a leap in the development projects that will help improve the citizens’ lives.
