Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli underlined on Saturday the importance of Alexandria-Matrouh road project which is currently being expanded to seven lanes in each direction in a bid to ease traffic congestion.
Madbouli made the remarks during an inspection tour of New Alamein City during which he checked on development works of the coastal road.
Head of New Alamein City Development Authority Wael Samir said the new coastal road around Alamein City which runs for 48 kilometers was finalized.
He said efforts are underway to finalize the implementation of all roads leading to the projects that are being implemented in the new city, adding that progress rate of some of these roads surpassed 90 percent.
