Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Thursday the Egyptian-Turkish summit, that was held on Wednesday, heralded a new stage in relations binding the two countries in a way that will help enhance peace and achieve prosperity for the peoples of the two countries.
During the cabinet’s annual meeting, the premier said the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Egypt, his first in more than ten years, is an important step to put Egyptian-Turkish relations back on the right track.
The visit will help deepen economic partnership and increase investment and economic cooperation opportunities, he added.
Meanwhile, Madbouli reviewed the series of meetings held by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi all through the week, including his meeting with CIA Chief William Burns, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed ben Abdel Rahman al Thani and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
