CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli reiterated the importance of the new National Window for Foreign Trade Facilitation (NAFEZA) and the Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) system in automating the country’s customs administration.
During a meeting held Tuesday to review the project’s implementation, the prime minister accentuated the importance of answering all inquiries of exporters and importers in this respect, with a view to facilitating all measures impeding their inbound shipments and guarantee efficient implementation of the new system.
The new customs platform would further promote controlling goods movement, detecting illegal products, facilitating customs administration procedures, reducing clearance times and expediting the review and release of foreign shipments to help promote international trade movement.
Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Minister of Transport Kamel el-Wazir, Minister of Industry and Trade Nivine Gamea took part in the meeting, among others.
