Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the state is paying great attention to the health sector to provide different health services for citizens.
The state seeks to develop the quality of the services offered to people in accordance with constant directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in this regard, added Madbouli.
He pointed out the fulfillment of projects to establish and upgrade health facilities to achieve the required goals.
The premier’s remarks came at an inspection tour of a number of health facilities in the governorates of Giza and Cairo on Saturday, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
The tour is meant to follow up on the performance of the health system and development works along with raising the efficiency of public hospitals.
The tour includes Om El Masreyin hospital and Boulaq Al-Dakrour hospital in Giza and Dar El Salam Cancer hospital (Harmal), Boulaq Abu Al-Ela and Nasser Institute in Cairo.
Abdel Ghaffar asserted the state is very interested in achieving the dream of Egyptians in being provided with universal health coverage.
The healthcare is a top priority to the state in order to build the human being and attain sustainable health development, he said, adding there are directives from the political leadership to accelerate the implementation of the universal health insurance system to cover all citizens and their families under the umbrella of the system.
Abdel Ghaffar highlighted different health projects that were carried out and ventures under construction during the period from 2014 and until 2024.
During the tour, the premier was posted on the vocational description of all hospitals included in the tour, development phases and achievement rate in new construction projects and dates for finalizing the projects.
