Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted Tuesday that the state would continue its efforts towards digital transformation through a comprehensive and integrated vision in order to keep pace with the rapid growth in the use of information and communication technology in the various economic and social activities.
The premier’s remarks were made on the occasion of signing two cooperation protocols between the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).
Minister of Information and Communication technology Amr Talaat and Minister of Housing Assem El Gazzar attended the signing ceremony.
The first protocol aims at activating the use of information technology and communication techniques in building more sustainable smart cities so as to improve the quality of services offered to citizens.
The second protocol, signed between ICT and NUCA, aims to implement projects and digital transformation initiatives to develop work mechanisms, provide logistical and technical support to existing projects of NUCA along with supporting the various governmental activities and communication infrastructure of the NUCA branches.
