Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli started an inspection tour of a number of development and service projects in Minya governorate on Saturday.
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el-Wazir and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohamed Ayman Ashour.
Madbouli was received by Minya Governor Emad Kedwani.
During the visit, Madbouli said that the tour focuses on inspecting projects related to the healthcare sector, the development of public utilities and the upgrading of road networks.
The agenda also includes visits to several factories operating in various industrial fields, the handover of housing contracts to beneficiaries of a new residential project and inspections of a number of projects implemented under the presidential initiative (Decent Life) for the development of rural villages.
Madbouli said that the field visit aims to closely monitor the progress of ongoing projects and to overcome any obstacles that may hinder their implementation, in order to accelerate their entry into service for the benefit of the people of Minya Governorate.
He stressed that all stops on the tour are centered on meeting citizens’ needs, particularly projects implemented and underway within the framework of the “Haya Karima” initiative.
Madbouli said that with the completion of the projects of this national initiative, a significant improvement is being witnessed in the quality of life and the level of services provided to citizens in Egyptian villages.
For his part, Kedwani asserted the governorate’s commitment to completing infrastructure projects, particularly drinking water and sanitation projects, given their direct impact on citizens’ quality of life.
