CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Egypt has the best global experience for developing unsafe areas, citing the provision of safe and affordable social-housing projects for low-income and middle-income citizens.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday on the sidelines of the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12), the premier added the forum’s guests have a chance to visit urban development projects in Historic Cairo, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
In this regard, Madbouli stated Egypt enjoys a pioneering experience in development projects, citing the launch of “Decent Life” initiative to develop rural areas across the country.
He expressed hope the forum will come out important recommendations that will make a difference in civilizational development in light of global challenges and crises facing the world.
