Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli met on Monday Mohamed Amer, Executive Vice President of Scatec ASA for the Middle East and North Africa, to review the company’s projects in Egypt and its future plans. Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk also attended the meeting.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to creating an attractive environment for international companies and encouraging foreign investment, especially in promising sectors such as energy. He highlighted cooperation with Scatec in renewable energy, seawater desalination, and green hydrogen projects, stressing Egypt’s goal of becoming a regional hub for clean energy.
During the meeting, Amer presented updates on Scatec’s renewable energy and electricity storage projects already operating in Egypt. He confirmed the company’s intention to expand its presence in the Egyptian market and increase investments in the coming period. He also outlined Scatec’s plans to develop infrastructure in the energy sector and proposals for new desalination projects.
