Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli headed a meeting on Monday to review the main features of the public budget of the state for fiscal year 2023-2024 in the presence of Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Deputy Minister of Financial Policies Ahmed Kouchouk and Head of the budget sector in the Ministry of Finance Ali el Sisi .
During the meeting, Maait presented the proposed draft budget and explained the main principles on which it was drawn up, pointing out to the strict adherence to policies related to implementing wide-range comprehensive structural reforms, boosting the role of the private sector, increasing productivity and encouraging exports.
The meeting highlighted the importance given by the draft budget to financing social protection programs in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to ease the burdens of the neediest segments of the society.
