Egypt’s wider strategy to transform the north‑west coast was the focus of a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli in New Alamein, where he followed up on ongoing projects in Matrouh. The session brought together the Housing Minister, the Governor of Matrouh, the Deputy Housing Minister for Urban Communities, and the head of the National Centre for State Land Use Planning.
During the meeting , the premier stressed that the North Coast is a strategic axis in Egypt’s comprehensive development vision, with geographic, economic and tourism potential capable of attracting investment, improving services, and creating jobs.
For her part, Housing Minister Randa El‑Menshawy presented updates on infrastructure upgrades and fourth‑generation city projects, noting accelerated work to deliver a full urban transformation. The Governor of Matrouh highlighted unprecedented investment momentum, efforts to ease procedures for investors, and improvements in roads and environmental services.
The meeting also addressed land regularisation for new coastal cities and the status of utilities and basic infrastructure, in coordination with the National Centre for Land Use Planning.
