Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing the industrial sector as a central pillar of economic growth, alongside the agriculture, tourism, and communications and information technology sectors.
The premier also stressed that the state continues to prioritise the localisation of industry through strengthening infrastructure, removing challenges facing investors, and fostering stronger partnerships with the private sector in order to increase domestic production, deepen local manufacturing capabilities, and expand exports.
Madbouli on Monday conducted an extensive inspection tour undertaken by the Prime Minister to inaugurate and review a number of industrial facilities in Sadat City, Menoufia Governorate, and 6th of October City, Giza Governorate.
Governors Amr El-Gharib of Menoufia,Ahmed El-Ansary, of Giza, accompanied the premier during the tour, Cabinet Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Homosani said in a statement.
Madbouli emphasised that the government firmly believes in the pivotal role played by the private sector in driving economic development and is working to enhance its contribution across various economic activities.
These efforts aim at creating employment opportunities, strengthening export performance, and reducing dependence on imports as part of Egypt’s broader vision to become a regional industrial hub, he said.
The prime minister commenced his tour in Sadat City where he inaugurated the new factory of Vitality for Industry and Trade, the industrial arm of Benefit and owner of the V7 and V-Cola brands, in the presence of company executives and officials.
Madbouli reiterated the government’s strong support for national industries and private sector expansion, describing industrial development as a cornerstone of sustainable economic growth and a key factor in enhancing Egypt’s regional and international competitiveness.
He further underlined commitment to maintaining an attractive investment climate that encourages increased production and export activity.
During the tour, Chairman of Vitality Refreshment Company, Mohamed Nour, offered a presentation of the company’s operations and future plans.
The company, established in 2021, is fully Egyptian-owned and specialises in the production of healthy beverages made with natural flavours, fortified with vitamins, caffeine-free, and packaged using recyclable materials, he explained.
Nour also highlighted the company’s significant expansion over the past five years, with its workforce increasing from 20 employees to 900, while annual production capacity rose from 10 million to 350 million bottles.
He noted that the percentage of locally sourced materials has reached 95%, supported by investments amounting to LE1.5 billion.
