Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli has directed the Agriculture Ministry to act on an integrated plan to increase the cultivation of corn and soya beans, much needed to produce fodder.
The aim is to have a strategic stock to be used in times of crises, Madbouli said in a Cabinet meeting earlier Wednesday.
He also touched upon efforts to maximize benefits from agricultural waste, which could very well be used in the fodder industry at such time of shortage that has affected Egypt’s poultry, livestock and fish.
