Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said that New Alamein City is a perfect example on the ability of Egyptians to overcome challenges and make achievements.
During his visit to Alamein City to attend the fifth edition of the Electric Vehicle Rally, organized as part of El Alamein Festival, Madbouli said that New Alamein City is an example to follow in comprehensive development and innovation since it has been turned from a desert land filled with landmines to a remarkably developed city.
Holding the rally in the city is an important event that reflects the progress made by Egypt in building the capabilities and skills of EV engineers and manufacturers, Madbouli said.
He reiterated the importance of enabling academic research to transition into commercially viable solutions that effectively address real-world needs, asserting that the government fully supports Egyptian youth in the fields of creativity and innovation to increase their contribution to national development and economic growth.
The government has a clear policy toward strengthening the domestic auto industry, especially electric vehicles, to serve the country’s goals of sustainable development, he said.
This aligns with Egypt Vision 2030 which aims at boosting and supporting entrepreneurship and economic growth on the basis of knowledge along with encouraging entrepreneurs and innovators in all fields of scientific research and technology, he said.
