Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli began an inspection tour of several healthcare facilities under construction or development in Cairo and Giza governorates.

He stressed that the health sector is a top priority on the government’s agenda under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to place citizens’ health first.

The tour aims to monitor the progress of upgrading public hospitals and ensure their service quality. The inspected facilities include Dar El Salam Oncology Hospital (Harmal), Bulaq Abu El-Ela Hospital and Nasser Institute in Cairo, as well as Om El-Masryeen and Bulaq El-Dakrour General Hospitals in Giza.

Madbouli emphasized that the government, in cooperation with the private sector, is working to improve healthcare services, expand hospital capacity and ensure financial and operational sustainability, alongside implementing the Universal Health Insurance System.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar noted that Egypt invested over EGP 222 billion between 2014 and 2025 in more than 1,255 healthcare projects, significantly upgrading infrastructure, modernizing hospitals and improving medical services nationwide.
