Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired Wednesday’s cabinet meeting at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, opening with congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Defense Minister General Ashraf Salem Zahir, and the Armed Forces on the 44th anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day. He emphasized the occasion as a testament to Egypt’s military doctrine and the state’s commitment to sustainable development in Sinai.
Madbouli noted his recent visit to North Sinai, coinciding with the national celebrations, where he inspected service and development projects and met with parliamentarians, tribal leaders, and community figures. He stressed that the visit underscored the state’s dedication to advancing the comprehensive development plan for the governorate under the national project launched by President Sisi.
Highlighting Sinai’s strategic importance, the Prime Minister directed the Housing Ministry to engage a consultancy office for coastal planning and to attract tourism investments, alongside agricultural and industrial ventures.
Madbouli also reviewed President Sisi’s meetings with Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, underscoring Egypt’s role in regional stability and bilateral cooperation.
Returning to domestic affairs, he reflected on his parliamentary address outlining Egypt’s response to regional crises and their economic repercussions.
He instructed ministers to attend parliamentary sessions consistently and engage constructively with MPs’ ideas and demands, affirming that serving citizens and the nation remains the government’s shared goal.
