SEVILLE – Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli affirmed depth of Egyptian-Algerian relations and fraternal ties that unite leadership and peoples of the two countries.
During a meeting Tuesday, on the sidelines of his participation – on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi – in the Fourth United Nations (UN) International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), the prime minister asked his Algerian counterpart Nadir Larbaoui to convey President Sisi’s greetings to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasising Egyptian-Algerian strength of relations and coordination across the various fields.
Ambassador Osama Abdel Khaleq, Egypt’s Permanent Representative to the UN and ambassador Ihab Badawi, Egypt’s Ambassador to Spain took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister discussed ways to support and strengthen aspects of bilateral relations in various sectors, seeking to advance them to broader horizons in order to achieve more mutual interests and meet the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.
Madbouly stressed the importance of promptly convening the Egyptian-Algerian High Joint Committee in the coming period, and the need for thorough preparation of the topics and issues of mutual interest to be discussed during the committee meetings—especially those aimed at increasing trade exchange and economic activity between the two countries across multiple sectors.
For his part, Larbaoui affirmed the depth of Egyptian-Algerian relations and his commitment to supporting and strengthening these strong ties across various fields and sectors, as well as continuously working to enhance bilateral cooperation to achieve greater mutual benefits.
Larbaoui conveyed President Tebboune’s greetings and appreciation to President Sisi, noting his tireless efforts to enhance stability and security in the Middle East region.
