Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said the government is taking robust steps to restore its splendor and civilized appearance.
He made the remarks in press statements on Saturday on the fringe of an inspection tour in Historic Cairo.
The premier said he inspected the area developed by the state to supersede the tannery area of Sour Magra el-Oyoun.
He said this area was housing 2000 families living without services and the tanneries there were using old methods.
The 2000 families were relocated in civilized apartments in Badr city to be close to Robbiki Leather City.
He said apartments with Islamic designs were set up there to be commensurate with the nature of the area.
He noted that historic-designed tombs will be relocated, referring to relocating 22 Pharaonic temples while building the High Dam.
He said relocating tombs will be much easier of temples.
