CAIRO – Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli announced that the government currently coordinates with the House of Representatives to resolve the old rents’ problem, through reaching a legal formula that regulates the landlord-tenant relationship in an anticipated new tenancy law.
His announcement came during a weekly cabinet meeting on Thursday to discuss a number of important topics and address them.
Madbouli highlighted the reports issued by a number of international economic institutions, including a World Bank report, which shows Egypt’s success in restoring pre-Covid-19 levels of growth by achieving a growth rate of 5.5 in the Fiscal Year 2021/22.
During the meeting, the premier lauded the recent visit paid by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to China to attend the inauguration of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
Madbouli shed light on the the fruitful talks held by President Sisi with Chinese President Xi Jinping following the opening of the Winter Olympics to probe ways of fostering bilateral cooperation in different fields, notably the economic and trade ones, as well as strengthening political coordination between the two countries on a number of regional and international issues.
The prime minister also praised the recent visit made by Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh to Cairo, which comes as part of the State’s keenness to advance relations with African countries.
During his stay in Cairo, the Djiboutian leader held an expanded session of talks with President Sisi on means of boosting bilateral ties, as well as consolidating strategic cooperation in various areas.
