Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Mabouli has stressed that the humanitarian conditions of Gazans stimulate all Egyptians to deliver assistance for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The premier’s remarks came on Saturday during the launch of a massive humanitarian aid convoy, which is launched by “Tahya Misr” Fund to relief Gazans in implementation of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Madbouli pointed out that the convoy includes 199 trucks loaded with more than 2,500 tons of medical supplies and equipment as well as huge quantities of food, water, milk, juice, clothes, blankets, carpets, covers, children’s diapers, disinfectants, power generators, diapers for the elderly, torches, and sanitary pads.
Madbouli said that the source more than two-thirds of aid delivered to Gaza so far is from Egypt, noting that “Tahya Misr” Fund organized, managed and contributed to launch the aid convoy in cooperation with several state bodies, non-governmental organizations and citizens.

The convoy will move immediately to the Gaza Strip, he said, noting that Egypt receives wounded Palestinians regularly as much as possible and sends all urgent medical supplies to Gazans, he added.

Egypt, under Sisi, plays a leading and pivotal role in dealing with this crisis and will spare no effort to deliver aid to Gazans, the premier reiterated.
Madbouli stressed that Egypt’s leadership, government and people side with Gazans.

He lamented double-standard policies in dealing with humanitarian challenges during crises, noting that Egyptian people should learn lessons from the Palestinian cause.

The premier also extended thanks to all parties contributing to organizing that convoy, voicing hope that the humanitarian crisis comes to an end as soon as possible.
