Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Monday inspected work on development of Misr for Spinning and Weaving Company factories in el-Mahalla el-Kobra, Gharbiya Governorate.
The premier referred to the national strategy to develop the textile industry in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi as part of a development drive pursued by the state.
Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna, Public Enterprises Minister Mahmoud Essmat, Gharbiya Governor Tareq Rahmi accompanied the prime minister on this tour.
Minister of Public Enterprise Sector Mahmoud Essmat spoke about the government’s keenness to promote textiles as one of the mainstays of the economy.
The ministry plan to develop the textile industries sector covers cultivation, developing mills, modernisation of spinning, weaving, dyeing processes, the minister said.
Cotton and Textile Industries Holding Company CEO Ahmed Moustafa said in a presentation during the premier’s tour that as part of government plants, some 31 subsidiaries of the holding company have been merged into nine entities, in addition to developing infrastructure and restructuring human resources.
