Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli followed up the progress realized so far in ongoing projects in Damietta at investments worth EGP 14.5 billion.

He underlined the importance of swiftly finalizing these projects to go into service as they will play a key role in improving the services offered to citizens.

He made the remarks while chairing a meeting attended by Local Development Minister Hisham Amna and Damietta Governor Manal Awad.

Awad said the projects are being implemented within the framework of developing big cities and capitals of governorates, including those for recycling animal waste and upgrading slums, markets, electricity, water, irrigation and sanitation networks as well as hospitals and fish farms in addition to building some schools and government service complexes, family healthcare centers and healthcare units.

She said 100 percent of potable water projects and 95 percent of wastewater ventures were implemented across the governorate.

She also reviewed the progress realized so far in Decent Life presidential initiative projects which stood at about 545 projects at EGP 3 billion.
