NEW ALAMEIN – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Thursday his visit to Ras El Hikma in Matrouh is meant to follow up on progress realised so far in handing over compensations as well as allocation of lands for establishing alternative houses for entitled citizens.
Matrouh Governor Khaled Shoeib said regarding handing over of alternative lands for entitled citizens who deserve alternative housing units in Sham El Hekma area that 18 contracts have been prepared so far to this end.

Housing Minister Sherif Sherbini reviewed progress realised in extending utilities to these lands and building a network of roads to serve the area.
The premier ordered Matrouh governor to post him on daily updates concerning handing over alternative lands.
During the visit, Madbouli toured the area of the New Ras El Hikma City project where infrastructure development efforts are exerted in tandem with the UAE partner.
He said Ras Hikma City has unique potentials for luring investments in various projects, therefore the State is interested in preparing needed infrastructure and linking them with various areas via a network of roads.

During the tour, the premier was welcomed by a number of chieftains and met with Ras El Hikma people.
Madbouli underlined the state’s full commitment to to handing over the lands of the project to the UAE partner on due date.
He also said the project will bring about prosperity to the area and Egypt as a whole.
Madbouli added that Ras El Hikma inhabitants welcomed the grand development project and all ongoing government projects in the area, including electric train and the road project, as they secure jobs for people.

Ras El Hikma people expressed support for the state efforts to realize comprehensive development in such promising area.
The premier promised people to meet all their requests and the people asked for establishing an experimental school in the area.
He gave directives to swiftly meet all their demands.
