CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli followed up the executive measures taken by the Ministry of Education to implement the recommendations of the first stage of the “national dialogue” concerning the pre-university education via a report prepared by Education Minister Reda Hegazy.
Hegazy asserted that his ministry was keen on implementing these recommendations perfectly via a unified vision by all the bodies affiliated to the ministry.
The ministry formulated a strategic plan (2024/2029) to unify the policies of education with the global educational approaches, he said.
The plan presents a group of policies and programs to activate the project of the Egyptian education reform from kindergarten until high school in addition to eradicating illiteracy and educating the elderly, he said.
The plan presents a long term vision of the Egyptian education reform project, determines the strategic priorities, presents a roadmap for implementation and responds to the economic, social and environmental changing dynamics at the international and national levels.
The vision of the ministry aims at providing education and training on the basis of quality and prominence, just sustainability and availability to prepare an educated person capable of creativity, innovation and international competitiveness.
The ministry also paid attention to including the citizenship issue in the developed curriculum from the kindergarten to primary six, Hegazy said.
In his report, Hegazy asserted that the measures of the ministry includes benefiting from educational professors and experts from the research institutes and the Egyptian universities in putting education curricula and developing them for all the educational stages.
The ministry is communicating with several countries at the regional and international levels to boost international cooperation in the field of technical education.
