Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli held a meeting Wednesday with Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, in the presence of deputy Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk to review targets of the new budget, that will come into effect next week.
The meeting also took up the applied policies, aiming to enhance economic activities, especially in the industrial and exports sectors.
The policies also meant to support the growth of the private sector and expand in the inclusion of the informal economy, added the minister.
The minister, meanwhile, affirmed the implementation of an all-out structural reform plan to cope with expanding the social safety net.
Maait abriefed the prime minister on his Ministry’s efforts in implementing reforms, especially in the taxes and customs systems.
