CAIRO – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Monday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has given directives to make a unified guide for all utilities and services infrastructure specifications, pointing to the forming of a committee to implement applicable specifications for new and old cities.

Madbouli was speaking during his meeting with Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati, Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad, Local Development Minister Mahmoud Sharawi, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat, and Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar.

The prime minister directed them cooperate to rapidly finalize the components of the guide.

Talaat, for his part, said the ICT and Housing ministries cooperated on drawing up the country’s unified building code, which is set to be included in the guide.

The meeting asserted the importance of benefiting from the expertise of other countries in this regard.
