CAIRO – Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli has directed quick action to outline a five-year plan to meet a growing demand for teachers, while implementing mechanisms of good governance to select the best of them.
Madbouli was speaking during a Cabinet meeting Sunday to follow up the issue, especially with reported shortages in the number of teachers in many schools.
The meeting was attended by Education and Technical Education Minister Tareq Shawqi, Planning Minister Hala el Saeid and Finance Minister Mohamed Ma’eit, as well as chairman of the Central Agency for Organization and Management Saleh el Sheikh.
The participants also discussed an expected increase in the number of students over the coming five years.
