Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, in a Cabinet meeting Wednesday, reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support for the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had told the Jerusalem Support Conference, which was held in Cairo Sunday, that the Palestinian cause was a top-priority issue for Egypt and the Arab world, Madbouli said during the meeting.
The premier also spoke highly of the outcome of President Sisi’s participation in the World Government Summit, “WGS 2023”, which was held in Dubai, the UAE, earlier this week.
Sisi led a high-ranking government delegation to the WGS and was the guest of honor, Madbouli said. It was a successful participation at all levels, he noted, pointing to what he called “important messages” sent by Sisi during the event about the Egyptian economy and Cairo’s deep relations with the Arab countries.
Madbouli also touched upon Sisi’s inauguration of the sixth Egypt Petroleum Show, “EGYPS 2023”, and the second phase of the Silo Foods Industries City.
The meeting also took up preparations for the government relocation to the New Administrative Capital, which is scheduled to start on March 1.
