Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted the State, under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, is maintaining its constant efforts to expand the clean energy field to produce green hydrogen and its derivatives.
The State seeks to carry out projects to produce and use green methanol and green ammonia, added Madbouli at a meeting in the Cabinet’s HQ in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) Wednesday.
The move is meant to serve the ships supply sector in particular, thanks to Egypt’s distinguished geographical location and its greater potentials, he added.
The premier added the signing of a framework agreement between the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, the
New and Renewable Energy Authority and the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and “C2X” company aimed to implement the green fuel production project at investments of three billion dollars.
