Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli witnessed this morning the opening of the 25th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) held in Sharm El Sheikh, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The event was attended by heads of supreme audit institutions from around the world, as well as representatives of regional organizations and international bodies.
During the proceedings, Egypt, represented by the Central Auditing Organization (CAO), officially assumed the presidency of the INTOSAI for the next three years.
This represents the culmination of Egypt’s long-standing commitment to institutional excellence and its pioneering role in promoting integrity, good governance and anti-corruption practices.
Egypt’s leadership of INTOSAI reflects the country’s deep expertise, professionalism and readiness to guide the global auditing community toward a new era of effectiveness and responsiveness to contemporary challenges.
Egypt has played a pivotal role within AFROSAI, supporting African audit institutions through training, knowledge-sharing and the publication of the African Audit Magazine, which continues to be issued under Egypt’s supervision.
