Egyptian Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Kamali discussed Monday with a delegation representing Visa company ways of boosting the partnership with the government in digitisation and digital payments.
Kamali asserted the meeting is part of the ministry’s keenness on boosting economic cooperation relations with international companies working in Egypt and promoting the Egyptian regional role and luring more international investments.
The meeting also reviewed mechanisms for achieving the 2030 sustainable development strategy and discussed inflation rates, he said.
The Egyptian official said the government is interested in attaining financial inclusion and integrating the unofficial economy into official frameworks, in addition to promoting financial IT technologies and digital cards.
