CAIRO – Deputy Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development Sherif Dawoud has represented the Ministry at the fourth Strategies for Transition to Green Economy Forum that was held by CSR Egypt under the theme “From Vision to Action”.
Like all world governments, Cairo has a governing framework for the development process, represented in the 2030 sustainable development agenda and Africa’s Agenda 2063, Dawoud said in a Ministry statement.
He added that the Planning Ministry is working to update Egypt’s 2030 Vision on a regular basis due to the successive global changes, especially with regard to the challenges of climate change and overpopulation.
The forum was attended by Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine el Qabbag, along with representatives of the local development and environment ministries.
CSR Egypt was established in 2015 with the aim of spreading awareness among companies and state institutions about the importance of fulfilling their social responsibilities toward the community.
