CAIRO – Planning and Economic Development Minister Rania al-Mashaat said Monday that Egypt is looking forward to boosting co-operation with Saudi Arabia in all fields.
Speaking during a meeting with Saudi Ambassador in Cairo Saleh bin Eid al-Hasini, the minister hailed close and historical relations between the two Arab countries and peoples.
The meeting also took up means of enhancing economic ties between Cairo and Riyadh.
Mashaat said Egypt is keen on improving the investment environment and creating more room for the local and foreign private sectors. Empowering the private sector is a key to achieving sustainable development in all sectors, she added.
The minister thanked the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) for its role in supporting and bankrolling development projects in Egypt in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
She pointed to a diversified portfolio of cooperation with the SFD that includes many ventures in the domains of health, education, supply, irrigation, electricity, transport, agriculture and housing.
