Egypt’s Planning Minister Hala Saeed had talks on Sunday with Higher Education Minister Ayman Ashour on a host of issues on comprehensive development under Egypt Vision 2030.
Saeed said the state is keen on improving employability through comprehensive development of the labor market.
She noted that the national program for structural reforms aims at upgrading the labor market and promoting its flexibility in addition to developing the educational mechanism.
She lauded the strategic future vision of the Higher Education Ministry as well as “youth for development” initiative that aims at raising university youth awareness about the principles of sustainable and human development and linking them to public policies and the state development projects.
She also extolled the Rowad 2030 program which aims at training youths on entrepreneurship thinking.
She added that “be an ambassador” initiative was meant to spread awareness about sustainable development.
She said education is witnessing great development in the current period, referring to plans of establishing more universities.
For his part, Higher Education Minister Ayman Ashour reviewed the ministry’s vision for comprehensive development which depends on seven main axes.
He said the ministry seeks to develop 4G universities to bridge the gap between educational programs and the real needs.
He stressed that graduates should be capable of confronting the challenges of the age through innovative ways.
