Egypt’s Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the American Chamber of Commerce.

The agreement aims to hone the skills of the private sector employees and launch the second phase of the petroleum middle management training, on the sidelines of the Petroleum Show 2022 (EGYPS 2022).

The agreement was signed between the head of the central administration of the ministry’s technical office Alaa Hagar and Deputy Executive Directive at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt David Chi and in the presence of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Molla and the US Ambassador to Egypt Jonathan Cohen.

In statements on Wednesday, Molla said that the capacity building programme for the Petroleum Ministry is considered one of the main pillars for enhancing the sector, which aims to hone the skills of the executive directives in order to cope with the ministry’s efforts within the framework of the vision of Egypt 2030.

Under the agreement, the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt will implement the second phase of the petroleum middle management training, with the aim of honing the skills of 400 executive officials in the Petroleum sector.
