Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla on Thursday discussed in a meeting with TotalEnergies Executive Vice-President of Central and North East Africa Jean Philippe Torres the possibility of expanding the French energy company’s activity in marketing and distributing oil products in the local market and increasing the number of its petrol stations.
During the meeting, the petroleum minister stressed the importance of boosting co-operation with TotalEnergies in the Egyptian market, especially as the French energy company has great experience and potential in terms of marketing car fuels and oils.
Molla added his ministry welcomes new global investments in distributing oil products, lauding the opening of TotalEnergies new gas station in a vital area near the Grand Egyptian Museum for developing services provided to fuel consumers.
On his part, Torres expressed appreciation of the existing partnership with Egypt, noting that TotalEnergies is keen on enhancing bilateral co-operation with regard to distributing high-quality motor fuels and oils.
