Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi on Tuesday inaugurated the new integrated operations centre of Saudi company TAQA in in Katameya district, Cairo governorate.
The centre will serve as a key hub for managing the company’s activities in Egypt and the region, as well as its operations across the African continent.
The new facility seeks leveraging Egypt’s promising investment opportunities, advanced logistical advantages, modern infrastructure, and strategic geographic location.
Minister Badawi praised historic and fraternal relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, underscoring that the current cooperation reflects the strength of bilateral relations at all levels according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Petroleum on Tuesday.
He commended the role of Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud in enhancing cooperation in the energy sector between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
For his part, TAQA CEO Khalid M. Nouh said the opening of the new center represents a successful partnership with Egypt and marks a major milestone in the company’s journey.
The new center, with its advanced services and solutions supporting oil sites and renewable energy projects, is a testament to TAQA’s commitment to working and investing in Egypt.
