CAIRO – Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi discussed in a meeting with the CEO of Canada’s Mediterra Energy Corporation the company’s future plans in 2025, especially as it seeks to increase the number of rigs working in Egyptian fields to ten.
Badawi said the meeting took up the Canadian company’s planned drilling operations in the concession areas of Sinai and Kom Ombo, calling for increasing research and exploration activities, working to reduce the cost of the barrel and applying advanced technologies.
On his part, the CEO of Mediterra Energy Corporation said the company intends to intensify drilling operations, by adding another two rigs to the existing eight rigs.
He added Mediterra Energy Corporation targets to raise production from its promising concession area in Sinai in 2025.
