The House of Representatives, under Speaker Hanafi Gebali, initially apporved on Tuesday a draft law, submitted by the government on amending some provisions of Law no. 82/2016 on combating illegal immigration.
This legislation comes within the framework of the state’s strategy towards providing legislative solutions to combat acts that do not comply with the laws in the face of this crime.
The bill comes in line with the provisions of the constitution and relevant international conventions, as well as the most prominent objectives of the National Strategy to Combat Illegal Migration (2016-2026).
