The heads of parliamentary offices, special committees and MPs approved the new government’s policy statement for 2024-2027.
They said the programme is clear and highlights challenges and meets all needs.
That came in the plenary session of the House of Representatives that was held Thursday under the chairmanship of Speaker Hanafy Gebaly in the parliament’s HQ in the New Administrative Capital.
Today’s session was allocated to probe a report by the ad hoc committee in charge of studying the government’s 300-page policy statement.
MP Abdel Hadi el Qasabi, the representative of the parliamentary office of Egypt’s Future of Homeland Party (leader of parliamentary majority) and chairman of the social solidarity committee in the parliament said the committee discussed in 11 sessions all axes included in the program, which included files that concern Egyptian citizens.
The government’s program has been obvious and rich in all its components and clarifies challenges and meets all needs, added Qasabi.
He said the most important recommendations that are taken into consideration by the government of Mostafa Madbouli are the call for facing high inflation rates, controlling prices and preventing power outages as well as safeguarding national security.
MP Mohamed Soliman, the Chairman of the House’s Economic Affairs Committee said the government’s program runs in line with Egypt Vision 2030 and the vision of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Chairman of the House’s Plan and Budget Committee MP Fakhry el Fekki thanked president Sisi for democracy we are seeing in the country, represented in freedom of expression and explicit deliberations.
