RAFAH – Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Moustafa Monday said that there is a genuine opportunity to save the Palestinian people and realise statehood by embracing the core principle of one state with a single law and system.
Addressing a joint press conference with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty at Rafah border crossing, Moustafa underlined that such unity is essential to prove to the world that Palestine is ready for independence and the end of occupation.
“We always say that Palestine is stronger when all components of the Palestinian people are united under a defined national strategy. This is the strategy set by the Palestine Liberation Organisation, and we hope that all Palestinian factions, parties, and movements will engage through the PLO in this national effort,” Moustafa said.
“The challenges are immense and dangerous, there is no time for disputes. The priority now is the establishment of the Palestinian state.”
