PakIstanI Ambassador in Cairo sajid bilal paid a visit to al-tahrir Publishing House, which publishes the egyptian Gazette, Sunday.
He met board Chairman Eyad Abu Haggag and egyptian Gazette editorin-Chief Mohamed Fahmy to discuss co-operation.
Ambassador bilal praised the role the publications of al-tahrir Publishing House play in spreading awareness
among the members of the public and throwing light on different economic projects.
He also expressed confidence in the ability of the same publications in bringing Pakistani investments in egypt to light.
Mr Abu Haggag handed the Pakistani Ambassador the medal of al-tahrir Publishing House in recognition of his
efforts in enhancing political, cultural and trade ties between egypt and his country.
Ambassador bilal made a tour earlier in the day of the different sections of the egyptian Gazette newspaper and chatted with its editors.
He also visited the Archives section of the newspaper, which dates back to 1880 and contains information about
the most important international events that took place since that date.
The Pakistani ambassador also gave an interview to the Gazette about political relations and economic co-operation between Cairo and islamabad. the ambassador’s interview also dwelt on the fight against terrorism and relations between peoples in egypt and Pakistan. it is important to note that al-tahrir Publishing House is one of the largest press establishments in egypt.
It publishes a wide range of daily, weekly and monthly publications, including – apart from the Gazette – al-
Goumhouria, al-Messa, Le Progrès egyptien, al-Kora wal Malaeb, Hurriety, Aqidaty and al-Goumhouria’s book.
