A Pakistani aircraft carrying 55 tons of humanitarian aid arrived on Sunday at Egypt’s Arish International Airport to be transferred to the Gaza Strip.
This marks Pakistan’s 24th relief consignment to the region.
The shipment, organised by Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with the Al-Khidmat Foundation, contains winterised tents and tarpaulin sheets.
Embassy of Pakistan officials in Cairo received the supplies and handed them over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for delivery to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Gaza.
“Pakistan continues to stand with the Palestinian people and provide essential humanitarian assistance,” stated an embassy representative. “We appreciate Egypt’s vital support in facilitating these deliveries.” Further aid shipments from Pakistan are planned for the near future.
