The course, the minister said, is held under the theme ‘Water management for non-agricultural purposes in urban areas’.

“Twenty-four African trainees are participating in the course,” the minister said.

The minister made these remarks after receiving a report from Tareq el-Sayyed, the head of the Regional Training Centre for Water Resources and Irrigation (RCTWS), about the work of the RCTWS and the PACWA.

The report also covers the progress made so far in the implementation of the Italian-Egyptian Water Training Programme – Water Knowledge project.

The minister revealed that a training course would alsobe held at the end of August under the theme ‘Shared water resources management and water diplomacy’.

Twenty African trainees, the minister said, would participate in that course.
