CAIRO – The presidential ‘Decent Life’ initiative has contributed to supplying 814 villages with natural gas, the Petroleum Ministry said.
The ministry pointed out in a statement issued on Friday that the supply of natural gas networks has been completed in nearly 400 villages under the first phase of the presidential initiative, while works are underway to accomplish that supply in the remaining 414 villages.
The petroleum and natural gas sector expanded the national project for supplying housing units with natural gas over the past nine years nationwide, contributing to doubling the number of supplied units from 6 million in 2014 to some 14 million in 2023 to serve more than 62 million citizens, the note added.
