More than 6,000 tourists of different nationalities have visited Abu Simbel temples, including two awe-inspiring temples of King Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, in southern Aswan, Abu Simbel chief archaeologist Ahmed Masoud said.
The arrival of this large number of tourists comes as the country’s new tourist season kicks off, he added in press statements on Thursday.
Masoud noted that the tourists arrived in Abu Simbel city on board two flights, by 412 tourist buses and aboard three Nile cruises.
