The head of the Suez Canal Authority Osama Rabie stressed on Monday the great interest the Egyptian state attaches to the projects of developing the Suez Canal, based on its strategic importance and its vital role in serving the movement of global trade.
Rabie’s statement came during his meeting with US Central Command General Michael Corella and his accompanying delegation at the authority’s headquarters, on the sidelines of his official visit.
